Postal operations to resume on Tuesday, December 17 following CIRB ruling The CIRB has ordered employees to return to work and postal operations to resume at 8 am local time on Tuesday, December 17, 2024. Given the timing and duration of the strike, when Canada Post operations resume, Canada Post will need to begin processing the mail and parcels trapped in our network. It will take time to clear their network, so customers should expect delays in processing and delivery.
The Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW) has announced a national strike starting Friday, November 15 at 12:01 a.m. ET., which will cause service delays for the Royal Canadian Mounted Police: "Due to labour disruptions at Canada Post, mail sent to and from the RCMP's Canadian Criminal Real Time Identification Services will experience delivery interruptions until further notice."
The Apostille Convention comes into effect in Canada on January 11, 2024 From this date, we will offer the Apostille service for Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) certificates. However, we will NO LONGER offer the authentication & legalization service for countries where the Apostille Convention is not in effect.
